6 Homeschool Supplies We Actually Use Daily
We use our whiteboard almost every single day.
We use it for math, language arts, practicing words and spelling, playing educational games, or even just writing down the lineup of activities we're doing that day.
I also use it to keep my toddler occupied while getting through lessons (or part of a lesson) with my son.

It can be exciting to start planning your homeschool—turning part of your home into a classroom, thinking through what you'll need, and gathering all the supplies.
But honestly, half of the things you think you're going to need, you may not even use on a regular basis.
There are some items that we use every day, or at least several times a week, and then there are other things that we haven't even touched in... I don't even know how long!
So, when it comes to the things we actually use regularly, here are six that we either use every day or at least three days out of the week.
1. A Whiteboard and Markers
2. A Printer
Our printer is probably one of the most useful things we have in our homeschool.
We use it almost every day.
Some of our online classes have activities, worksheets, or other resources that need to be printed. Sometimes we're printing coloring pages, and other times we're printing out other random activities to go along with our lessons.
So, if you're putting together your homeschool space, I would definitely consider a printer to be one of those important—maybe even crucial—items to have.
There are so many options, but this is the printer we use on Amazon. I've been using it steadily for almost 7 years, and it hasn't failed me yet.
3. Our Daily Calendar
Part of our morning routine is setting our daily calendar.
My son, and active toddler who needs to be involved in everything now, take turns, or sometimes work together, to set the date. We go over the days of the week, the month, and the year. We check the weather, choose the weather symbol, talk about the season, and even talk about how we're feeling that day.
Whenever there's a holiday or a special day coming up, we also have magnets that we can add to the calendar.
In addition to our daily calendar, we also have a monthly whiteboard calendar. I use that to keep track of field trips, co-op days, special activities, and anything else we have coming up.
It's helpful because my son can see what's coming up, and sometimes he gets really excited when he knows that something special is coming!
It also helps me stay organized and reduces the stress of having to remember everything.

4. Yoto Player
Sometimes when we're not ready to go outside yet, or maybe there's just nothing happening at the moment, it's so easy to turn on a screen to pass the time.
Thanks to some of my friends at my homeschool co-op, I got introduced to the Yoto Player, and it has been so useful in our homeschool.
My son uses it every day—sometimes during breakfast before I turn on our daily podcast, or sometimes after lessons, in between lessons, or during a break. My son will sit down with his mini player, put in a Yoto card, and listen to stories undisturbed.

5. Stickers
In any kid's classroom, how can you forget stickers?
We use stickers as motivation for different things—getting things done on time, completing an activity, being a good listener, or simply as a little reward.
For some reason, kids just love stickers!
I've gotten stickers in all kinds of different categories depending on what my son is interested in. When he was really interested in dinosaurs, we had lots of dinosaur stickers. More recently, he's been interested in Dog Man and Captain Underpants, so we have stickers for those too. We've also had Transformers and Sonic stickers.

6. Themed pencils
Every kid is going to be writing. And what are they writing with?
Pencils!
We have themed pencils—in this case, specifically Dog Man pencils because that's what my son is very interested in at the moment.
He loves getting to pick out his own pencils, and I guess that's just one little thing that adds some fun to the classroom.
Something as simple as a themed pencil can really make a difference and make schoolwork feel a little more fun. (Here's a link for a pack of Dogman pencils if you're interested.)
So those are the things that we use every day, or at least three days out of the week, in our homeschool.
We keep things really simple.
And honestly, these simple items have been some of the most useful things we have. They help us keep our homeschool simple while still making things interesting and fun for the kids.
